| Homeschool fossil - 24 yrs. so far, just the youngest of 5 left at home. We have gone from a very traditional teacher's manuals/student text/workbook approach at first, to a very eclectic, somewhat relaxed approach in a fully integrated lifestyle of learning now. We have had special needs to meet - gifted learners too - and have seen how individual adaptations maximize learning and help best prepare a child for a lifetime of learning. Homeschooling has enabled us to adapt to military moves, allowed us to indulge our hobby of 18th c. re-enacting, and let us take advantage of all the teachable moments of life.
