Mother Taught
 
With 5 graduated, and 5 more to go, and with 24 years teaching, and 12 more years to go, Lord willing, I find myself still spending my summers gathering and sorting, running off paper after paper in the hopes of the illusive best school year yet. With the help of this site, and all of your hard work given freely, maybe I will find that dream come true! I am really excited about using Far Above Rubies and Blessed is the Man for my older children this year. As I have been studying over it, I find a great freedom to allow the children choice in their studies, choice within a limit. I also find myself free from textbooks, which I have held theoretically for years, but could never come up with enough educational 'fodder' on my own to justify a good learning experience. And, I love having a good reason to use my own extensive and carefully built library for a lot of our resources. Thank you Lynda Coats for your mighty work!
